I have been reading a lot of textbooks lately and I missed the time where I read books for pleasure. Today got me thinking about that special book in my life.
The book that I can read over and over is Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. I lost count how many times I’ve read it, probably at least 6 times. It’s very inspirational and you don’t have to read the whole book to be inspired, you can break it down one chapter at a time. To summarize it in a few words, it’s about rekindled relationship that turned into one final “class” and lessons in how to live. It’s a book that tells the story of the meaning of life.
I have not read it recently, but every time someone asks me to recommend a book to read, this book always comes to mind.
Wow another la blogger! I smell a meetup?!
I loved that book. I personally love “The Great Gatsby”. Its not inspiring or anything, but I think its a classic and I never get tired of reading it.
Classic book..I agree. A meet-up would be nice, I will keep in touch.
hmmm….probably “are you there god it’s me margaret”?
(i’m totally serious!)
Favorite book in the past year has been Eat, Prey, Love…it took hold of me. It didn’t hurt to be reading the Italy section while traveling in Italy for 2 weeks 😉
I envy your travel to Italy while reading the book. That must have been surreal, like reading about your experience in a book. I can’t wait to see the movie, I heard good reviews about it. They had a preview of the move in L.A.
I was totally thinking of writing that one too!
oh yeah, I like that book too. That was an assigned reading in school that I had to do.
Hi there! Just found your blog – I love the layout, and I love the way you write 🙂
When I was little I loved “The Little Prince,” then I grew up to love “Sirena,” now I am a fan of anything I can get my hands on. Pride and Prejudice has always been an especial favorite..
Thanks Steph and thank you for leaving me a note so that I know you came by.
