Paradise in Boracay

Not technically Wordless Wednesday.  I gotta say something, always 🙂

These are pictures from the island of Boracay in the Philippines. The island is very small, I think it’s only a few miles wide.  One of the best beaches I’ve ever been to.  I’ve been to Mexico and Caribbean beaches.

When I went for a run during our family vacation, I asked for a route and someone joked that I should run around the whole island to get my mileage in, that’s how small it is.

From Philippines International Airport, you fly into a neighboring island and then take a catamaran to get to Boracay.  It was a long journey from Los Angeles, but so worth it.

Just lovely! Haven’t been back to the PI in years and years – must make a trip back home sometime soon. These pics are amazing!

  5. Amazing pictures! I’m going to Boracay next year and I can’t wait. Any other tips on things to do or eat?

    • Hi Joyce,
Boracay is so fun, you will have a blast. Have you been there?

We were with relatives who are based in the Philippines so they picked the restaurants. Everything is fresh so you can’t really go wrong. I love seafood so it was heaven for me.

All the restaurants and bars are on the same strip by the beach. You literally eat and drink by the water. It was so nice.

  6. I have relatives in the PI too so I guess having them pick the restaurants would be the best thing. I really can’t wait! I’m headed there in January. I’ll def be sure to let you know where I go.. and EAT lol.

  7. Omg you’re so lucky! I want to to boracay so bad! I was supposed to go last december for my husband’s cousin’s wedding but that didn’t work out… so I went to europe instead 🙂 But the PI + Boracay is still at the top of my list.
