Wordless Wednesday…(sort of)
One of the most amazing experience I had in Hawaii was the night we swam with giant Manta Rays.
If you ever get a chance to swim with Manta Rays, I highly recommend it.

I was at Wholefood’s recently and while browsing the bulk bin aisle, I wanted to purchase an ingredient that I have never tried before. I saw the red quinoa and started scooping it into a bag. I’ve had quinoa before but never had the red kind. I heard it is supposed to be nuttier than […]
We had a fun time this Easter weekend with the family. Sunday was my sister’s actual birthday so we headed over to her house for some BBQ celebration. My sister is going on a week vacation with my mom, so we kept the food simple and tried to use up every food they had left […]
Whenever I run early in the morning, I find myself getting hungry for a snack before lunch. I’ll have my normal oatmeal breakfast, have a snack bar mid morning and a late lunch. I would rather have higher calorie and nutrient dense breakfast that will keep me full until lunch. This week I switched things […]
I don’t remember the last time I used my big DSLR camera. I didn’t even bring it on our last family vacation. I want to use it more often though and I thought of the excuses I had that was preventing me from grabbing it….and the biggest gripe I had was that it was too […]
Thanks to Walgreens for underwriting this post. I was paid as a member of the Clever Girls Collective, but the content is all mine. Visit http://www.discoverbeautywithin.com/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now that summer is here, it’s time for me to switch to my summer beauty routine. Being in SoCal, we are lucky to have summer weather for most […]
I’m a huge Friends TV show fan. I own collections of DVD from that show and I even have the book that highlighted their last season. I miss that show so much. I still watch the reruns on TV whenever I catch it. If you watch that show, you know that each episode was called […]
Some of the treats found at Disney for the month of February are bright pink cupcakes… and heart shaped cookies to celebrate Valentine’s Day. So many choices, so little time. But we had to make a decision, so Chris and I decided to enjoy a sundae to satisfy our sweet tooth 🙂 I got a […]
Well hello again, it has been awhile. I have been busy the last several days spending time with family and friends, and taking care of family matters. But the calm is here and my schedule has finally slowed down. I think this is longest time I’ve disconnected from my computer, which at times can be […]
I love the pics! I’m glad you had a great time!!
I remember when I swam with dolphins and it was a beautiful experience as well!
I’ve yet to swim with dolphins. I had a chance to do it when we were in Bahamas but it was too pricey at the resort.
Swimming with Manta Rays was surprisingly less expensive and it included food/snacks on the boat.
Looks fun (and terrifying)! 🙂
Terrifying at first because there were so huge but not once did we touch them. The staff of the boat told us that it was a great night because about 15+ Manta Rays were in the area.
Usually it’s a hit or miss, they don’t guarantee that you see Manta Rays every night.
Looks like you had a great time!
But there’s no way you could get me to do that… lol
I was scared in the beginning (as you can see on my face in the pictures) but enjoyed myself once I was in the water and realized the Manta Rays were harmless.
Your posts and pics are always fun and I like the variety of your topics.
Thank you. It was fun.
I write on my blog about the things I love to do, including my travel adventures. I like to share pictures because I love photography and I like seeing them also on other blogs. It inspires me to go out and travel.
You’re in Italy…a place I dream of visiting someday.
Those pictures are amazing! I am terrified of sea creatures on their own, much less swimming with them.
Holly..it wasn’t scary at all. Well I was nervous in the beginning but warmed up to them right after we jumped in the water.
This was totally out of my comfort zone. I’m so proud I did it or I would have missed out on the experience.
Oh god, that’s terrifying! Aren’t those things dangerous?
My fiance was with me and he does all sorts of dives. I felt safe being with him and there a lot of people around and scuba divers underneath us too.
We had to swim in a way where our fins didn’t touch them, had to swim horizontal the whole night. Lots of core work I tell ya!
Thanks for stopping by my blog, I look forward to reading yours too!
The photos on this post are great, especially the one of the boats in the sunset. I love anything nautical 🙂
great photos! how fun… I grew up spending summers in Hawaii (my father is from there) and I went snorkeling one year, but didn’t think to take photos!! (oh, to have a blog long ago…!) 🙂
I love Hawaii so much, and miss it – it’s been a few years since I’ve been back… thanks for giving me a glimpse!
I’m more than happy to share Hawaii pictures. I love Hawaii, the beaches, the culture and everything about it.
I think its always fun seeing vacation pics! I’ve been to so many places around the world but not many in the states and Hawaii included and I want to go so bad! We should totally try to do a blogger meetup there!
What? Hawaii blogger meet-up? I’m in. I would volunteer to organize the trip if people are interested 🙂
We need to take advantage of our hotel discounts Eden.
When I was in 7th grade we went on a cruise to the Cayman Islands and went on an excursion to swim with the manta rays. I got too freaked out and wouldn’t go in. I wish I had now. It seems so cool!
