I wish I can say that my new year is starting off to a healthy start but unfortunately that is not the case.
I have been sick since New Year’s Eve, and have been fighting a sore throat and a cold. I am as congested as the L.A. freeways on rush hour traffic.
My attitude is great and my mind is in the right place for the New Year to come, but my body just feels like crap.
I am taking care of it and hopefully I will feel better soon.
Yesterday, I had to cancel a photo shoot. Instead, I stayed in all day watching movies from my DVD collection.
Oh Greece, you are so beautiful. I wish I can visit you someday.
Speaking of movies, I made a little collage from our visit last week to Angels Knoll park in L.A. I loved the movie “500 Days of Summer” and I was excited to finally visit a few of the local movie locations used in the movie.
Angels Knoll is Tom’s favorite spot in the movie, where he took Summer often and talked about life and the architecture in front of them.
(4 pictures above are mine and the rest are from google images)
The movie is not a love story, but a story about love. I liked it. Have you seen it?
Soup for my soul
So the last few days that I’ve been sick, I have been eating quiet a few bowls of soups. I am obsessed with this Thai soup called Tom Ka Gai (coconut chicken soup).
I love this restaurant version but I am searching for a good recipe online so I can make some at home.
I love the spicy coconut milk, mixed with lemongrass, chicken and veggies.
Hope you are off to a good start. Please send some healthy vibes my way so I can get better soon 🙂
Josh and I saw 500 days of summer and thought it was cute! I hope you feel SO much better! Soup & other fluids and lots of sleep always does the trick for me.
Oh man!! My soul would love some of that soup! 🙂 looks amazing!!
Ive been sick since nye too and it stinks! Its nothing major, just a cold, but when you have a get up and go mind set and your body is saying no it sucks.
That soup looks wonderful! I”m sorry you’re not feeling well – feel better soon! 🙂 And I SO want to go to Greece – hope to one day!
I have a sore throat too. I’ve been drinking Coat Throat tea like it is my job.
Hope you feel better!
I hope you feel better soon!!!!
Eeeek feel better soon! And then lets make a lunch date. Deal 🙂
Feel better soon!
Hope you’ll find a good recipe to make your own version of the soup!
Oh that is too cool that you sat on the exact same bench…neat!
I almost wish I felt sick, maybe I’d stop eating so darn much!
Feel better sooooon =)
Hey sorry you’re feeling sick, so am I I have a sore throat the day after Christmas I felt it coming on. Not enough sleep and to much Champagne – I got up at had some of my superfood and Throat & Tonsil Tincture. from Dr. Schulze ( http://www.herbdoc.com )
I was doing great the next day until my friend the one I went to for Christmas invited me over again another day of partying well that killed whatever I was fixing. LOL 😛
What can I say. O.o
By the way I love that soup so much we use to have this cool Thai Restaurant in Alhambra but because of the recession they barely lasted 2 years.
Everything was delicious and fresh I loved it there I’m sad to see them gone and I haven’t found a place that has everything tasting great. Most of the other local restaurants have 1 or 2 things good I would love to combine them together but I can’t. hehe
I hope you find a good recipe .
Feel better.
Omg, I feel like I’ve had the same thing you do! I’ve had a sore throat/congestion/flem up the bajoozles for over a week now and I’m still trying to get rid of it! This crazy LA weather isn’t helping either– and since I’ve been back to school there have been bouts of rain, etc.
I hope you feel better soon!
bummer that you’re sick, hope you feel better soon!! that soup looks like it should help get you better really quick!
Hope you feel better soon!

Me too, Lea. The worst time to get sick! Today, I feel 95% recovered. Hope you are getting well, too.
