I started out my weekend by taking my usual Body Pump class. I love the instructor that teaches on Saturday morning. She has a way to really pump up the class and can motivate us without the yelling and without being in your face, boot camp style of attitude.
After the gym, I had toast for breakfast.
Toast with mashed banana + peanut butter + jam + chia seeds.
Not just with any regular bread, it was Great Harvest Dakota bread. There isn’t a Great Harvest bakery near Orange County so when I was in Pasadena recently, I made sure to stop by the bakery and stock up on bread. I store them in the freezer for longer life.
Dakota bread is dense and filled with nuts. Both my mom and I have been enjoying the bread for snacks.
Breakfast was served with chocolate mint protein shake. I prefer the bread more but the shake kept me cool.
The rest of the day was spent cleaning, sorting and making trips to Goodwill to drop off some donated items.
I have been sorting thru a lot of my stuff lately. I found some old vintage cards from 1999, during my senior year in high school and it is so special to think that I am still close with my girlfriends from high school. I took pictures of them before I threw them out, I just don’t have room to keep all the stuff I saved.
My main goal is to simplify a lot of my things and to scale down and I also need to make room for new items and gifts I’ve received recently.
My friend Gilliane gave me this precious gift. During my bachelorette party, the girls gifted me things that reminded them of me. Both Gilliane and I have annual Disney pass and we both love going to Disneyland with our boyfriends.
In the evening. Chris and I had dinner and watched movie with friends. We watched the movie “Thor“. I enjoyed the action filled movie and I was surprised that there was comedy mixed in it too. I laughed out loud several times.
I love Natalie Portman as an actress and she played her role well in this movie. I enjoyed watching it and I was entertained, which is all I ask for really when I go to see movies.
For dinner, Chris had this humongous burrito. The green sauce was really tasty and I took several bites from his plate.
My burrito, unfortunately, was a dud. I ordered chicken and bean burrito, but I was expecting some veggies and cheese to be in the mix. I ate half and Chris finished the rest. I do like that they offer an option for whole wheat tortilla, which I used for my burrito.
Up ahead tomorrow, I’m working on wedding crafts and finishing DIY projects.
Hope you are having a fun weekend!
Love the title to this post 🙂
I never knew what Great Harvest was until I started reading blogs. I used to pass by it all the time in Pasadena! But now that I’m in the OC most of the week– you’re right — I’ve yet to see one around here 😛
I love that quote from Cinderella!!! 🙂
I’ve never tried the Dakota bread at Great Harvest yet! We’re going next week, so maybe my Great Harvest will have some so I try it!! 🙂
The instructor makes such a difference! Glad you found one you love! Dakota bread is super yummy! They have a jalapeno bread i want to try next. Hope the projects go well
Thanks for the tip on the Great Harvest bread. I’ve wanted to try some for a while now but didn’t know where to buy it. I think it is such a great idea to take photos of old cards and things that you are planning to throw out.
I really want to try to take Body Pump! That class sounds awesome.
Have fun with the wedding crafts!

Hey Lea,
I love that bread place in So. Pasadena, they have this Pumpkin and Chocolate Chip Muffin that is to die for. Yummy!
I’m glad you stopped by my favorite pass-time stopping grounds I love that area it’s so cute all the brick buildings and cute shops.
That’s a tasty little breakfast you thought of there. I would have never thought to add chia seeds to a sandwich you gave me some great ideas. = )
That snow globe it totally how I feel right now with my BF/Ex-hubby cute stuff.
That reminds me I have to go through my stuff and start emptying out stuff that I don’t use/need.
Have a great day till next post!
=^.~=
Body Pump is one of my favorite classes too. I haven’t been in awhile and miss it. I also a big fan of Body Combat… great stress reliever.
oh to be doing the wedding crafting and DIYing again – so exciting! I’m glad you liked the movie – I hope to see it soon!
Good luck with your wedding crafts! Does Great Harvest make a GF bread? If so Im soooo on that!
I think some Great Harvest bakery do make GF bread, they make it on certain days only to avoid cross-contamination. BUT I don’t think the one I went to in Pasadena had GF options, at least I didn’t see it on the day I went.
