Yesterday, a decade later…we still remember.
I spent the weekend doing what I love, with the people that I love.
Doing what we love.
Taking nothing for granted.

I can already tell that this blueberry crisp will be my go-to summer dessert. I’ve made it several times now, I’ve made it for company and served with a side of ice cream. I’ve also made it as our breakfast for the week. I found this recipe from the Bread and Wine: […]
I’ve got seven weeks of wearing my wardrobe capsule and it’s clear which items are my favorite and will be carried over to the next capsule. I find myself gravitating towards wearing more dresses because they are so quick and easy to wear but I didn’t include a lot in this capsule, the 4-5 that […]
One of my main goals each summer is to spend a lot of time outdoors. I’m also proactively planning most of our activities on the weekends. I have a list of things we want to do and feels good to cross off each one as we do them. I love list making and I love […]
After a week of being in the hospital, my mom is back home with us. She was discharged yesterday after her tests came out negative. We are still watching her very closely. She will continue to see her doctors regularly and soon she will be wearing a heart monitor device so the doctors can keep […]
Ever since Monday, I haven’t been feeling well. My beverage of choice has been fresh ginger tea with honey. Sometimes I make it really strong and it’s spicy, sometimes a little light and with more honey. I’ve also been craving comfort food. Chocolate gives me comfort. I have been adding chocolate shavings on top of […]
Months from now, when I have forgotten what I did this summer, I can look back at these snapshots and be reminded of it all…in pictures. This week we received our wedding pictures. I am so excited to look thru them slowly, look at them one by one because it takes me back to 2 […]
We Were Liars by E. Lockhart (4/5 stars) This story was beautiful, haunting and suspenseful. It was a quick read, perfect for a day at the beach. I had goosebumps when the twist was revealed and also felt sadness. Maybe I will go back and re-read in the future….just to figure out if there […]
This weekend, we are celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary. I still love the lyrics to our first dance, which was “Everything” by Michael Buble. A lot of it still holds true to this day, and no matter how crazy life gets, I am glad I found a partner in my husband who is there to get […]
That’s the best way to remember is to not take anything for granted and to spend it with the people you love…. <3333
Thanks Annette. I was thinking that how I felt on the anniverary of 9/11 should be how I feel every day, not just on a day like that. I should try harder to not take things for granted. Sunday was a good reminder of that.
Great way to remember! Love your photoshoot shots as well!
A day we will never forget for sure.
xoxo ❤
