Halloween 2011

Happy Halloween Eve!

We had our Halloween fun this weekend. We attended the annual Halloween event at Chris’s work.

His and hers costume. Chris was the Green Hornet and I dressed up as Cave Woman (but everyone thought I was Wilma from the Flintstones).

Both our costumes had to be family and kid friendly so I layered a tank top and tights with my costume as to not reveal too much skin 🙂 Normally, the costume is worn with just the top and the skirt.

It was a very festive event with plenty of booths for kids and family to enjoy.

There was a great turnout this year. It was crowded and every booth had a line but I made sure I stopped by the cookie decorating booth.

Here’s what I made with 2 plain cookies, colored icing, deconstructed twizzlers and M&M candies. Spooky eh? My cookie had a smiley face though.

The live musical show was also a blast. It was performed by the aquarium volunteers and local high school dancers.

Majority of people in attendance were wearing costumes, especially the kids. Our friends are creative so these were all homemade costumes.

Lobster and flying fish.

We had a really fun time at the event. I am already thinking of what to wear for next year’s event.

P.S. Cave woman wears Tom’s shoes right? I wanted to wear my Ugg boots but it was still stored away along with my winter clothes.
