Hello friends, I hope you are enjoying the start of your Easter Weekend.
Color explosion! It makes me happy.
It’s Spring Break season and a time to take a little time off to enjoy some rest and relaxation.
We spent some family time in Las Vegas this week. My mother-in-law celebrated her birthday in Vegas and the husband and I joined the whole family for the celebration.
These pictures were taken at The Wynn hotel. So beautiful.
This is my “I’m flying out of Orange County at 6am to meet everyone in Vegas, ready to start the day straight from the airport” outfit 🙂
– Gap polka dot shirt, black skinny jeans and Tom’s shoes. Braided hair because Vegas was hot! hot! hot!
I wish I could jump in here…..
More on our Las Vegas trip later…..but for now, it’s time to get ready for Easter weekend.
Knowing there will be a ton of desserts and food to be enjoyed tomorrow for Easter celebration, I made sure I started my weekend on a healthy start.
I’ve been increasing my protein intake lately (because I’m back on my strength training routine and I need to replenish my hard working muscles) and I’ve been adding protein topping to my oatmeal.
Instead of cooking the protein powder with the oatmeal, which makes the texture a little off sometimes, I’ve been putting in on top. I mix the protein powder with a little almond milk, until it’s creamy and has a thick syrup texture, then I put it on top of the cooked oatmeal in a bowl.
I love this method now.
Delicious bowl of oatmeal with about 20 grams of protein 🙂
I’m off to do some gardening. I’ve neglected my garden the last month and the weeds have taken over.
I’m also baking Easter treats today. I hope to have little cute bunnies in my kitchen tonight.
The flowers are gorgeous! Glad you had a nice trip. That is a fun protein tip. Happy Easter
gorgeous pictures! i can’t wait to see the bunnies…
Those are some beautiful flowers! Also, great idea with the protein powder!
Those pictures are beautiful! I’m glad you had a great trip. Can’t wait to read about it. 🙂
I’ve never been a fan of protein powder! I use it sometimes, but never can get used to the taste. I’ll have to give this a try! What brand powder do u use?
