project life – album cover page & week 1

I can already tell this year is going to be filled with documented memories, either thru lots of journaling and definitely plenty of pictures.

I’ve always loved being creative, my chosen career doesn’t really have room for creativity, it’s often black and white, with some gray area, and because of this,  I’ve always crave to do things that are creative. I believe that in order for me to feel balanced, I have to make use of the other side of my brain. Add into the mix of being a  mom, and the desire has just gone over drive 🙂 The desire to do it is there, but at times, the time to do it is lacking.

I’m not following a certain format on how I’m going to document our year, but I’ll start with weekly spreads and see where that takes me. I’m not sure how often I’ll be able to share them on the blog, but I’m planning to take pictures of my finished spreads and post them on Instagram.

My goal is to keep it simple, document things I want to remember and stay consistent by getting it done.

The cover page consist of pictures of the family at the beginning of the year. I wanted it to show, what our family looks like, right now.

The pictures were taken during a work day, we were getting ready for Hawke’s doctors appointment and we literally only had five minutes to get it done.  I had an idea of how I wanted to display the pictures, even though at the time, it didn’t make sense for the hubby. Hah!

I chose 3×4 cards from the midnight kit and sunshine kit. I love simple black and white texts.
