scenes from christmas–pictures with santa & mickey mouse

The picture with Santa below from Christmas 2013 was when Baby H was only 9 months. The picture was taken after they visited the petting zoo at Disney and was taken early in the season so there were no lines.

This year, we tried twice to see Santa at Disneyland, both times we were met with a very long line. We decided to hang out with Mickey instead and at this age, was much preferred by our little guy. He was walking around following Mickey and was so excited, Once we got up close, he started touching Mickey’s face and putting his hand in his mouth (lol, oopps!)

We also joined in on the free arts & crafts station they had for the kids. Disney provided us with cardstock materials and coloring paper and had multiple tables set up for coloring and ornament making. We brought home our souvenirs, what a fun activity!

Last week, on my rare weekday day off from work, Baby H and I headed to the mall bright and early. We were the first and the only one in line and arrived before Santa was there. We kept ourselves entertained by playing peek-a-boo with giant teddy bears Smile

Then it was time to sit on Santa’s lap. It was set-up so that you don’t see Santa until you turn a corner to have your picture taken. I wasn’t sure how he was going to react, but surprisingly, he was mellow the whole time. Not sad, but not happy either, just relaxed.  In the end he said “bye santa”. We were in and out of the mall in 30 minutes.
