We had a wonderful 3-day holiday weekend.
Here are 10 things I want to remember during our 4th of July weekend.
#1 – Hubby and I both had Friday off for the holiday. Since we just got back from our vacation last Monday, we only had to work 3 days during the week. Woohoo!
#2 – Little man had his parade at school and I dressed him up in red, white and blue. I did a side-by-side comparison to last year’s parade picture. What a difference a year makes.
#3 – We ate toast topped with red, white and blue fruits all weekend. H said “wow”.
#4 – We stayed cool by making homemade frozen pops.
#5 – H is swimming on his own with his floaty on. He kicks and swims around the pool. He started doing this recently during our vacation.
#6 – We headed over to my mom and sister’s house Friday night for dinner potluck. They made delicious wings seasoned with ginger. We brought over 2 salads and grilled fish.
#7 – We tried to watch fireworks at our local park but we came too late, about 30 mins before the firework show and couldn’t find parking so we just went home and watched fireworks on TV. Next year, we have to plan ahead and get in early.
#8 – We had family over at our house on Saturday. We snacked on the delicious food below.
#9 – We swam until it got too cold to be in the water. H was the last one out.
#10 – We took naps every day and felt fully rested at the end of the weekend.
P.S. baking fail on my choc chip cookies. They flattened like pancakes so we had to eat it with a spoon.
Sounds like a fabulous weekend 🙂 Doesn’t matter what the cookies look like…they just need to be tasty hehe
I’d still eat those cookies! 😉
looks like you guys had a great 4th!
