experiencing a whirlwind of a trip to New York City with my youngest sister Hazel. It was her college graduation celebration trip.
biking for hours in Central Park and was still not able to see it all
going to the Top Of The Rock during the day and going to the Empire State Building observation deck at night
eating our way thru a list of bakeries we bookmarked ahead of time. Hello Magnolia Bakery and Levain Bakery!
walking about 10+ miles daily. We loved walking, something we hardly do here in SoCal, so even though the subway was faster, if our destination was less than 3 miles, we opted to walk
visiting the best museums: The Met, MOMA, Copper Hewitt Design Museum and 911 Memorial & Museum
flying red eye and realizing I will never do that again
staying in a hotel a block from Central Park/Columbus Circle was the best location for us
living the tourist life all week since it was my sister’s first time in NYC, and I haven’t visited since my first time in 2004 (so much has changed!!)
watching The Knicks play at Madison Square Garden
being part of the audience for the Live With Kelly show taping and Norman Reedus was a guest
crying after facetiming with my hubby and little man. I missed them so much during the trip and I made sure to stay busy as to avoid feeling too homesick
feeling emotional while visiting the 911 Memorial & Museum
