going to the Huntington Beach air show. It was our first time and it was a cool event. My brothers and my little man enjoyed watching the jets fly by.  I was there for the beach and food trucks. While everyone was looking up in the sky watching the show, my little guy was happy rolling around in the sand.

attending a Do-It-Herself workshop at Home Depot. It’s a DIY workshop geared towards women to us introduce/feel confident in using power tools. It was my first time and I loved it. I used wood glue to attached wood panels together and then used the drill to put the project together.  I made the black/white/strike jack-o-lantern decoration (pictured) above.

visiting another pumpkin patch (2nd one we visited) at our local community event. The event gives out one free pumpkin to each kid and also offer free food, balloons and treats

having a picnic at the park after we visited the pumpkin patch. We met with my friend Lin and her kids and enjoyed snacking and catching up with each other

making school lunches everyday.  H’s previous school provided lunch and it was included in the tuition. His new school doesn’t include lunch in the tuition, but it is available for purchase if you want.  I am trying out packing his own lunches for now, and I have been enjoying putting a bento box style of lunch for him.

reading The Fringe Hours: Making Time for You. I have a lot of hobbies and I want to use my fringe hours wisely

watching the show Veep on Amazon. I haven’t heard of this show until actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus won at The Emmy’s. The show is so funny.

looking forward to all the social gathering and festivities in November. I want to run a Turkey Trot race on Thanksgiving day. I better dust off my running shoes.

mourning the loss of our dog Kalea. She was 13 years old and we had to put her to sleep because of health problems. She had a good and happy life, we will miss her happy face around.
