One of my main goals each summer is to spend a lot of time outdoors. I’m also proactively planning most of our activities on the weekends. I have a list of things we want to do and feels good to cross off each one as we do them. I love list making and I love it even more when crossing out an item as complete.
Recently, we went on a nature hike. I like this trail because there’s plenty of trees for shade and also there’s fun bridges and streams along the trail. We like to pack a picnic and will pick a spot at the end of the trail to enjoy our snacks. My little guy still naps mid day (thank goodness), so our picnic is his lunch and the drive home and being in the car will lull him to sleep. When his belly is full, I notice his nap is longer, about 1.5 hours.
We got to pet a snake at the indoor Nature Center. The snake was extra active on this day.
