One of my favorite things in the summer are all the seasonal food found in the farmers market. In the summer, we do a lot of overnight stays and road trips around Southern California. Whenever we are out of town on the weekends, I try to search for info on the local farmer’s market. I love exploring and trying foods from the local vendors.
We spent some time in Santa Monica visiting the pier and beaches during the day. I also had a Girls Night Out at The Broad Museum in the evening. On Sunday, we explored Santa Monica farmer’s market for the first time and enjoyed all the local vendors they had. We ate breakfast, enjoyed the fresh samples and listened to live music. It was a perfect lazy Sunday morning.
Once the kids were done enjoying the games and our tummies were full, we headed to Manhattan Beach for more beach fun.
I’m always drawn by bright and pretty things.
My favorite coffee to have at home daily is blonde light roast, but when I’m out and about, I like to try different kinds of coffee. This coffee was good with some organic creamer and stevia for sweetener. My sister found it bitter though.
There were few vendors providing games and toys for kids to play with. Some were free and the rest were asking for donation.
I ordered a wafflewich from Bareburger stand. This is something I make at home on weekends but the waffles here were delicious and dense. It was very filling.
These two cousins have been especially close this summer. I think it’s their age and that they can play together without any fighting and have the same interest.
