{the living desert} cactus garden

Palm Springs is one of our favorites places to visit. We have visited it at least once every year in the last few years. We visited it twice this year already. Depending on the season, we tailor different activities during our visit.

Our  little guy loves to wander around zoos, parks and playgrounds. We love going to The Living Desert in the spring time because the weather is perfect. The animals are awake and active (unlike when we visited in the summer, most of the animals were seeking shelter in the shade or indoors).

One of my favorite places to visit in the zoo is the cactus garden. I find succulents very beautiful. There are so many varieties in this garden and it was cool to see them all in one place. I did speak with my little guy to make sure he stays in the walking path and not to jump around because the cactus are sharp. He was happy to run around and play in the kids area once we were done in the garden. I love the cactus themed playground.

All different varieties on display. I wish I had enough space in my garden to have a cactus garden.

Then it was playtime at the Gecko Gulch Kids Playground.
