The last few days I have been enjoying my oatmeal with a side of Chocolate Bread Pudding. May I say that these tasted even better the day after? I thought it couldn’t get better the first time around.
Old fashion oats, vanilla protein powder, Trader Joe’s Chunky Apple Sauce and fresh blueberries. I mix my toppings randomly, depending on what I crave in the morning and these 3 mix were a good combo. The blueberries were sweet as sugar.
Same mix of oats and protein powder, topped with chocolate bread pudding and fresh strawberries.
Double take because it was THAT good 🙂
I’m eating from the single serving ramekin that I baked from. We haven’t made a dent on the larger dish. My youngest sister requested some yesterday so I’ll probably drop it off at my parents house to share.
I’m going to try freezing some leftovers and see if these chocolate babies freeze well.
You would think that I’m sick of chocolate by now….never!!
When the chocolate hits my mouth in every bite, it’s like I’m in chocolate heaven all over again. I’ve decided from now on that when I’m going to bake with nuts, I’m going to toast them first. They taste better after you toast them, especially the toasted walnuts that were used as toppings on the bread pudding. A little goes a long way.
It was rainy and gloomy yesterday and same weather today. This is the view from my office.
Not your typical Southern California weather. I’m probably just imagining this, but I can smell the crisp in the air and it’s starting to smell like pine trees and Christmas 🙂
But before we rush ourselves getting to the holidays, we should slow it down and think about Halloween first.
We made our weekly trip to Disneyland this week. Why is it is still crowded? Seems like the summer crowd has not gone away yet. If you want to see more Halloween pictures of Disneyland, check it out here.
I tip toed and raised my hand to the highest point to take this picture and it still looks like a child took it. What can I do? I don’t call myself short though, instead “I’m fun size”.
The hustle and bustle of Main Street, U.S.A
These pictures were taken while we were getting Fast Pass for The Haunted Mansion.
Inside the Winnie Pooh ride.
The diamond on my engagement ring is fluorescent. It was glowing under the black light during the ride. They say that 20% of all diamonds fluoresce & the color depends on the mineral composition of the diamond itself. Cool stuff!
I really wanted to get these for when I cook pancakes. I asked if they ever go on sale….not a chance. Hmmm, let me think about it.
Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
Our fast pass for the Haunted Mansion gave us 11pm time slot, that was too late for us. We try to go on rides when everyone else is watching the firework show or the Fantasmic show, we only waited 20 mins to get on the ride.
It was another fun night at Disneyland 🙂
ow ow that bread pudding! I dunno if I would be able to share- that is very generous of you 😉 LOVE Halloween. Its my favorite holiday. We definitely decorate. If we lived near a Disney park, we’d go all the time. Josh is a fanatic. We’re going for Christmas!
Hope you’ll share your Halloween decor on your blog, I want to see them 🙂
Disney is beautiful during Christmas. It snows every night and it’s just so festive and merry. You’ll have so much fun.
Sounds like a fun evening. I’m not big into decorating for Halloween. It seems like one of those holidays where either you’re into it or your not.
We have 1 Halloween decoration, it’s hanging on our door outside 🙂 I just don’t have a lot of decoration with Halloween theme. I’ll leave it to the professional decorators at Disney to wow me.
I’ve never been but I’d love to go! Everyone I know who has gone has just raved about the experience.
I could eat chocolate everyday of my life. Oh wait… I do… :p
That looks so fun! I would love to live that close to Disneyland… jealous…
looks like FUN !
you can totally make those pancakes yourself… just pour a circle and two smaller circles on top… 😀
Spabettie, great idea, that’s what my fiance would say..
I’ve never been to Disneyland or Disney World ::sniff sniff::
But I LOVE Halloween and Halloween decorations! I can’t wait to start carving my pumpkin this year.
That looks like a winner breakfast to me.
I love Halloween! I love the color orange so I for sure decorate my house 🙂
i love disneyland during the holidays! i’ve gone for tgiving and xmas too.
Lynn, are you planning on going this year?
Ahh I love disneyland and even though I pass it every time I go home for the wknds, I haven’t gone in at least 2 yrs! Probably because it’s so expensive…but it’s amazing! I want to go sometime soon, kinda waiting for my bday (socal resident freebie, right?) haha
I agree, the single day passes had gone up way high. I don’t know if I’ll go if it was just for a day, it’s a bit pricey. My annual pass is only priced about 2-3 single day passes. The free passes on your birthday was last year’s promo. For 2010, you get a free ticket if you volunteer for 8 hours. The list of organizations are on Disney’s website.
Very cool about your engagment ring! I had no idea 🙂
I’m still drooling over your bread pudding…I must make some!
Shanna, thanks. I didn’t believer it at first until I saw it for myself. I still not tire of looking at it when it glows.
I’m so glad I made the bread pudding, it’s really yummy.
That is SO COOL about your ring!!! I think it’s good luck 🙂
Thanks for visiting my blog. Yeah I don’t think I’ll get tired of looking at it, especially when it’s glowing 🙂
Where did you get your season pass, Disneyland or some third party? We have friends who bought them off Craigslist for really cheap, and I’d buy them if we could find a good deal for the SoCal resident thing.
Hi SR,
We buy our passes thru Disneyland directly, some friends do the monthly fees plan too. I just heard this week that the price of my annual pass has increased by $40+ and $100 is the price now for yearly parking. We only have 1 parking pass in our household so we just carpool.
I’m up for renewal soon and I will look into Craigslist and see if I can get a better deal. Thanks for the info.
