{recipe} nutella sugar cookie cups

I made these nutella sugar cookie cups for Amy’s bridal shower. The decor for her theme looked so whimsical and romantic. I wanted to make a treat for her special celebration and I came up with these cookie cups filled with nutella mousse. I’m planning to make them again next week for Valentine’s Day.

I’ve made many versions of these cookie cups (they’re so easy to make, taste delicious and looks cute). I love that they are bite size too.

Here’s how I displayed the treat at the party.

Sugar Cookie

Ingredients (makes 24 mini cups):

Directions:

Use baking spray liberally on the mini muffin pan. Cook sugar cookie dough at 350 F for 10 minutes or according to package instructions.  Do not over cook. Let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes then remove individually (very gently so they don’t break). Push the center of the cookies with your thumb and re-shape the cookies into cups.

Nutella Mousse:

  • 4 oz cream cheese – softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ⅔ cup Nutella
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • 8 oz container whipped topping (I used Cool Whip)
  • chocolate syrup (optional as topping)

Cream the first 4 ingredients until well combined. Add the whipped cream and stir it gently with the rest of the ingredients. Pipe the mousse into the cooled cookie cups and garnish with chocolate syrup (or chocolate shavings)
