I’ve had a great time celebrating my birthday this week.
Thank you to everyone who made me feel loved and special during my birthday.
The morning of my birthday, pancakes with sprinkles were enjoyed. Birthday Pancakes!
My colleagues gave me a “birthday girl” ribbon to wear. That was fun.
It was very sweet of them to surprise me with a birthday cake too 🙂 It made spending my actual birthday working….not as bad.
The husband and I went out for dinner to celebrate. I picked California Pizza Kitchen for my dinner celebration. I wanted something casual and easy.
I love eating at this restaurant because they offer unique and gourmet salads and pizzas.
One of my favorite salad ever is their Miso-Shrimp salad. It’s so fresh tasting, has crunchy textures and topped with seafood.
Chris and I also shared the corn and guacamole appetizer.
As my main entree, I ordered the Thai Chicken pizza on honey, whole wheat dough.
I liked the pizza just ok. I loved the dough and its chewiness, the toppings were great but I found the peanut sesame sauce a bit salty.
That’s probably just my palette, since I don’t use a lot of salt when I cook.
I continued my birthday celebration during Girls Night where I blew out more candles from my birthday cupcake. We all had a great time at Evie’s place chatting the night away and catching up with each other.
After dinner, we all enjoyed delicious cupcakes that Stefanie brought from Frosted Bakery.
We all shared all the flavors so we could taste each one. My favorite in the tasting platter, strawberry cupcake and Nutella cupcake.
I had this cutie pie (Baby Mia) to entertain me all night. It was girls night after all, big girls and baby girls included 🙂
On Saturday, my friend Sarah hosted a Seafood Birthday BBQ.
We all enjoyed delicious food, but the one dish that everyone loved and couldn’t get enough of was the Boiling Crab dish with Cajun shrimp and corn. Extra garlic please!
More birthday cupcakes.
My sorority sisters and college friends from San Diego were all there to celebrate mine and Sarah’s birthday. It was has been awhile since we all hung out and it felt good to see everyone again.
Cheers to friends and family and making birthday memories!!!!
