Wordless Wednesday…(sort of)
One of the most amazing experience I had in Hawaii was the night we swam with giant Manta Rays.
If you ever get a chance to swim with Manta Rays, I highly recommend it.

Ever since I got pregnant last year, it seems like life has been full of changes. During pregnancy, your body goes thru so many changes. After you give birth, a big change and shift happens in your life and now another change that I’m going thru, which is going back to work. Without going into […]
~ On Being Thankful ~ I have been making a great effort this month to be thankful everyday. It could be the little things or the simplest things, but to practice a grateful attitude every day is important for me. I should really try to do this all year, but in the month of November, […]
savoring and slowing down during the holiday season by being less connected to my phone and internet. I post pictures on social media, but I try not to linger and scroll mindlessly taking a trip to the mountains to play with snow and experiencing our own version of California winter planning our holiday […]
After dinner last night, we watched on DVD the British version of “The Office”. It was really interesting. Some of the jokes I didn’t really get because with the accent and some characters mumbling, I often missed the punch line. I like the version of “The Office” we have here in the U.S. I love Jim […]
drinking the passion fruit refresher drink from Starbucks. We drank this all weekend long to stay cool, love that it’s not too sweet. It would be perfect if it came unsweetened though. spending the weekend at Legoland with my sister and nephew. My nephew Jonah wanted to spend his last weekend before school started […]
I used to be indecisive, until I had baby. When you are a new mom, there is no time for being indecisive, you just do it and hope it will be good enough. It is good enough, because it was your best at the moment. So pre-baby, I used to take weeks to decide […]
Around here….. I wrote my 550th post. Whoa, who would have thought I would still be blogging after 5 years. Beautiful flowers are in bloom around our house. I have done zero gardening this year, so I’m quiet surprise our plants haven’t died and even more surprise that they are blooming. We are enjoying […]
Here’s how I organize my outfits for this capsule: 1.) Listing all the possible mix & match outfits on paper 2.) Using stylebook to visually create the outfits 3.) Below – put the outfits and organize in the calendar. I wanted to make sure I wear all my pieces and avoid repeats on a weekly […]
I love the pics! I’m glad you had a great time!!
I remember when I swam with dolphins and it was a beautiful experience as well!
I’ve yet to swim with dolphins. I had a chance to do it when we were in Bahamas but it was too pricey at the resort.
Swimming with Manta Rays was surprisingly less expensive and it included food/snacks on the boat.
Looks fun (and terrifying)! 🙂
Terrifying at first because there were so huge but not once did we touch them. The staff of the boat told us that it was a great night because about 15+ Manta Rays were in the area.
Usually it’s a hit or miss, they don’t guarantee that you see Manta Rays every night.
Looks like you had a great time!
But there’s no way you could get me to do that… lol
I was scared in the beginning (as you can see on my face in the pictures) but enjoyed myself once I was in the water and realized the Manta Rays were harmless.
Your posts and pics are always fun and I like the variety of your topics.
Thank you. It was fun.
I write on my blog about the things I love to do, including my travel adventures. I like to share pictures because I love photography and I like seeing them also on other blogs. It inspires me to go out and travel.
You’re in Italy…a place I dream of visiting someday.
Those pictures are amazing! I am terrified of sea creatures on their own, much less swimming with them.
Holly..it wasn’t scary at all. Well I was nervous in the beginning but warmed up to them right after we jumped in the water.
This was totally out of my comfort zone. I’m so proud I did it or I would have missed out on the experience.
Oh god, that’s terrifying! Aren’t those things dangerous?
My fiance was with me and he does all sorts of dives. I felt safe being with him and there a lot of people around and scuba divers underneath us too.
We had to swim in a way where our fins didn’t touch them, had to swim horizontal the whole night. Lots of core work I tell ya!
Thanks for stopping by my blog, I look forward to reading yours too!
The photos on this post are great, especially the one of the boats in the sunset. I love anything nautical 🙂
great photos! how fun… I grew up spending summers in Hawaii (my father is from there) and I went snorkeling one year, but didn’t think to take photos!! (oh, to have a blog long ago…!) 🙂
I love Hawaii so much, and miss it – it’s been a few years since I’ve been back… thanks for giving me a glimpse!
I’m more than happy to share Hawaii pictures. I love Hawaii, the beaches, the culture and everything about it.
I think its always fun seeing vacation pics! I’ve been to so many places around the world but not many in the states and Hawaii included and I want to go so bad! We should totally try to do a blogger meetup there!
What? Hawaii blogger meet-up? I’m in. I would volunteer to organize the trip if people are interested 🙂
We need to take advantage of our hotel discounts Eden.
When I was in 7th grade we went on a cruise to the Cayman Islands and went on an excursion to swim with the manta rays. I got too freaked out and wouldn’t go in. I wish I had now. It seems so cool!
