Wordless Wednesday…(sort of)
One of the most amazing experience I had in Hawaii was the night we swam with giant Manta Rays.
If you ever get a chance to swim with Manta Rays, I highly recommend it.

I did a lot of fun things this weekend. I got to hangout with my L.A. blogger friends, spend time with family and a much needed stress relieving night out where Chris and I spent laughing our butts off watching Adam Carolla and Jimmy Kimmel at the Wiltern Theatre in L.A. I cooked and I baked too. […]
After dinner last night, we watched on DVD the British version of “The Office”. It was really interesting. Some of the jokes I didn’t really get because with the accent and some characters mumbling, I often missed the punch line. I like the version of “The Office” we have here in the U.S. I love Jim […]
We announced our pregnancy to close family and friends when I was 16 weeks pregnant. It was so exciting to share the news with everyone and it was great to see everyone’s reaction and surprised faces. I remember thinking at this point that I finally have a baby bump (when in reality and after looking […]
I wanted my usual Sunday pancakes today but because it’s Halloween, I wanted to dress it up. I ate bats for breakfast today. Three bats to be exact. I used my chocolate protein pancake recipe and cut the pancakes in half using zip zag patterns to make the bat wings. The idea for the bat […]
Before I start the recap of the race events this past weekend, I just want to say that…I DID IT!! I am proud to say that I am now a two-time half marathon finisher!!! I had a great time running the race. It was even more special because I ran it with friends and […]
Wow, it’s already Nov 11, can’t believe it. The first week of every month is always a blur for me, it’s the busiest time at work every month, so the whole week just passes by really quickly. So now it’s the second week and I’m coming up for fresh air and have some time […]
venturing out to a new-to-us beach in Newport area and so happy that it was very toddler friendly. There were no waves and it had a very cool lighthouse and nautical themed playground a few steps away from the beach showering my friend Amy and baby London Elise with love at her baby […]
Today’s guest poster is my friend Glenn. We both have something very dear in common, my nephew Jonah. Jonah is both our first nephew so we both have fun in spoiling Jonah and then we give him back to his parents when we are done. Glenn is a foodie, he loves food and he […]
I love the pics! I’m glad you had a great time!!
I remember when I swam with dolphins and it was a beautiful experience as well!
I’ve yet to swim with dolphins. I had a chance to do it when we were in Bahamas but it was too pricey at the resort.
Swimming with Manta Rays was surprisingly less expensive and it included food/snacks on the boat.
Looks fun (and terrifying)! 🙂
Terrifying at first because there were so huge but not once did we touch them. The staff of the boat told us that it was a great night because about 15+ Manta Rays were in the area.
Usually it’s a hit or miss, they don’t guarantee that you see Manta Rays every night.
Looks like you had a great time!
But there’s no way you could get me to do that… lol
I was scared in the beginning (as you can see on my face in the pictures) but enjoyed myself once I was in the water and realized the Manta Rays were harmless.
Your posts and pics are always fun and I like the variety of your topics.
Thank you. It was fun.
I write on my blog about the things I love to do, including my travel adventures. I like to share pictures because I love photography and I like seeing them also on other blogs. It inspires me to go out and travel.
You’re in Italy…a place I dream of visiting someday.
Those pictures are amazing! I am terrified of sea creatures on their own, much less swimming with them.
Holly..it wasn’t scary at all. Well I was nervous in the beginning but warmed up to them right after we jumped in the water.
This was totally out of my comfort zone. I’m so proud I did it or I would have missed out on the experience.
Oh god, that’s terrifying! Aren’t those things dangerous?
My fiance was with me and he does all sorts of dives. I felt safe being with him and there a lot of people around and scuba divers underneath us too.
We had to swim in a way where our fins didn’t touch them, had to swim horizontal the whole night. Lots of core work I tell ya!
Thanks for stopping by my blog, I look forward to reading yours too!
The photos on this post are great, especially the one of the boats in the sunset. I love anything nautical 🙂
great photos! how fun… I grew up spending summers in Hawaii (my father is from there) and I went snorkeling one year, but didn’t think to take photos!! (oh, to have a blog long ago…!) 🙂
I love Hawaii so much, and miss it – it’s been a few years since I’ve been back… thanks for giving me a glimpse!
I’m more than happy to share Hawaii pictures. I love Hawaii, the beaches, the culture and everything about it.
I think its always fun seeing vacation pics! I’ve been to so many places around the world but not many in the states and Hawaii included and I want to go so bad! We should totally try to do a blogger meetup there!
What? Hawaii blogger meet-up? I’m in. I would volunteer to organize the trip if people are interested 🙂
We need to take advantage of our hotel discounts Eden.
When I was in 7th grade we went on a cruise to the Cayman Islands and went on an excursion to swim with the manta rays. I got too freaked out and wouldn’t go in. I wish I had now. It seems so cool!
