Wordless Wednesday…(sort of)
One of the most amazing experience I had in Hawaii was the night we swam with giant Manta Rays.
If you ever get a chance to swim with Manta Rays, I highly recommend it.

I love bite size food and really loved it when desserts come in mini size. I just love the thought of being able to take a bite and savoring it, without the guilt of not finishing it when the portions are too big. They say the best bite is the first one. I first discovered […]
Last night I drove 80 miles south to have dinner with my college friends and to celebrate my friend Gloria’s birthday. Everyone is scattered and living all over Southern California, so the good half way point for everyone was the PF Chang’s restaurant in Carlsbad. (I was just there shopping last week). The drive wasn’t […]
My morning routine almost always starts off with a hot beverage. I usually drink all sorts of teas, but I also love morning coffees when I need them. Today’s tea was Organic Japanese Twig Tea. This tea is calming and soothes my stomach first thing in the morning. Tea served on one of my favorite […]
Part I of our New Year’s Eve celebration was our lobster feast meal with our friends. The second part of our celebration was at my parents house. As tradition goes, we welcomed the new year surrounded by our family and friends. For as long as I can remember, I’ve spent New Year’s Eve with my […]
I tried doing the capsule wardrobe earlier this year, BUT I didn’t have a laid out plan when I did it, which is where I think I went wrong. I wasn’t organized. Back then, I just cleaned out my closet and kept the pieces I loved, regardless if items mixed and matched. I didn’t think […]
trying out Texture magazine for the last three months. I loved it, when I found the time to use it. Since I barely logged in during the promo period, I will have to cancel the app. Maybe I’ll reactivate in the summer months, when there are more leisurely reading by the pool/beach. finishing our […]
Last week, I mentioned that I organized the possible list of outfits on excel. Once I completed the list, I then created the outfit using the Style Book App. I’ve heard of this app before but I felt that I didn’t have any use for it until I started this wardrobe capsule. I’m a visual […]
I was excited to wake up today because we had a special family event to go to AND because I was excited to try my new cup of pumpkin pie that I picked up this week. Pumpkin pie in a bag Pumpkin Pie coming right up. The coffee aroma filled our dining room and I […]
I love the pics! I’m glad you had a great time!!
I remember when I swam with dolphins and it was a beautiful experience as well!
I’ve yet to swim with dolphins. I had a chance to do it when we were in Bahamas but it was too pricey at the resort.
Swimming with Manta Rays was surprisingly less expensive and it included food/snacks on the boat.
Looks fun (and terrifying)! 🙂
Terrifying at first because there were so huge but not once did we touch them. The staff of the boat told us that it was a great night because about 15+ Manta Rays were in the area.
Usually it’s a hit or miss, they don’t guarantee that you see Manta Rays every night.
Looks like you had a great time!
But there’s no way you could get me to do that… lol
I was scared in the beginning (as you can see on my face in the pictures) but enjoyed myself once I was in the water and realized the Manta Rays were harmless.
Your posts and pics are always fun and I like the variety of your topics.
Thank you. It was fun.
I write on my blog about the things I love to do, including my travel adventures. I like to share pictures because I love photography and I like seeing them also on other blogs. It inspires me to go out and travel.
You’re in Italy…a place I dream of visiting someday.
Those pictures are amazing! I am terrified of sea creatures on their own, much less swimming with them.
Holly..it wasn’t scary at all. Well I was nervous in the beginning but warmed up to them right after we jumped in the water.
This was totally out of my comfort zone. I’m so proud I did it or I would have missed out on the experience.
Oh god, that’s terrifying! Aren’t those things dangerous?
My fiance was with me and he does all sorts of dives. I felt safe being with him and there a lot of people around and scuba divers underneath us too.
We had to swim in a way where our fins didn’t touch them, had to swim horizontal the whole night. Lots of core work I tell ya!
Thanks for stopping by my blog, I look forward to reading yours too!
The photos on this post are great, especially the one of the boats in the sunset. I love anything nautical 🙂
great photos! how fun… I grew up spending summers in Hawaii (my father is from there) and I went snorkeling one year, but didn’t think to take photos!! (oh, to have a blog long ago…!) 🙂
I love Hawaii so much, and miss it – it’s been a few years since I’ve been back… thanks for giving me a glimpse!
I’m more than happy to share Hawaii pictures. I love Hawaii, the beaches, the culture and everything about it.
I think its always fun seeing vacation pics! I’ve been to so many places around the world but not many in the states and Hawaii included and I want to go so bad! We should totally try to do a blogger meetup there!
What? Hawaii blogger meet-up? I’m in. I would volunteer to organize the trip if people are interested 🙂
We need to take advantage of our hotel discounts Eden.
When I was in 7th grade we went on a cruise to the Cayman Islands and went on an excursion to swim with the manta rays. I got too freaked out and wouldn’t go in. I wish I had now. It seems so cool!
